Professor Li Jinghai has been appointed the new Party Group Secretary of NSFC. Professor Li obtained his Ph.D. from the CAS (Chinese Academy of Sciences) Institute of Process Engineering (IPE), in Beijing in 1987 and served as assistant professor, associate professor, professor, vice director, director of IPE and Vice President of CAS in succession. He holds memberships from CAS, TWAS(The Academy of Sciences for the Developing World) and STWA (Swiss Academy of Engineering), Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAEng) and is the Vice Chairman of China Association of Science and Technology.
